Creating pleasing paintings in pastel and/or watercolor has become a quest for this artist. Lee enjoys painting the world around her as well as scenes from her travels. A camera is often her traveling companion that helps capture the subjects for future paintings. She believes there is beauty in the small and ordinary. Just seeing an everyday scene or place can evoke a memory that must be recorded and shared by the artist's hand. As all artists do, Lee enjoys the challenge of creating a composition using light, color, and shadows to capture that moment and place in time. An artist wants to draw the viewer into their paintings hoping to create a pleasing mood and draw out a memory for them also.

Lee has attended and will continue to attend classes and workshops in order to grow and develop the painter's skill!
She has had the privilege of watching "master" artists as they share and teach their talents. She finds inspiration in studying about other artists and their works in an effort to understand techniques, styles, and just what makes their work so wonderful!
